My name is Patricia and I am thrilled about blogging! Connecting with the ladies in church and others far away is my aim here. I want to engage more with people but I have a few limitations. A blog will solve some of those and allow me to build connections with people I care about. I like that.
I’ve chosen to use the word “passionate” in my title because I’m crazy about Jesus. He made me clean! He loves me! Wow!
I’ve been a minister’s wife for twenty years, but a pastor’s wife for only five. It’s a lot harder being a pastor’s wife, but more rewarding when everything goes well. I enjoy teaching the Senior Adult ladies in Sunday School and being on a few different committees. I homeschool two of our children and one goes to public school. I also teach Astronomy and Art to 5th/6th graders at a local University model school. We operate a small business called Bunk Bed Specialties, plus once a week I usually work with a developer of Tapestry of Grace homeschool curriculum. That’s a little of what I do, but for who I am, you’ll have to read this blog! Let’s spend some time together.
Here are more facts about me: We live in East Tennessee and love it! I was born here and have several relatives in town in addition to both my parents. We have three children who were born in 1994, 1998, and 1999. I graduated from Stetson University in 1981 with a degree in Elementary Education. I worked at Utah State University for two years before I married Bill. He was a chaplain in the Navy so we lived in Oceanside, CA, Naples, Italy, Jacksonville, FL, and then Parris Island, SC. After Bill got out of the Navy he became a Southern Baptist pastor.

Hi! I found you looking up Chocoate Boutique. I have it but have not used it as of yet. Your blog intrigued me because you said you graduated from Stetson. I did not go there, but live in St Cloud and was born and raised in Orlando. My Mom is a Nanny for a nice couple who both went to Stetson. They may be a few years older than you. Anyway, I’ve never blogged. Don’t really have time, but there are no accidents. So I figured there is some reason I pulled your blog up. I will read the rest of your site and find something I’m sure will encourage me in areas I’m lacking confidence in. Like maybe a cake decorating class I’m suppose to start teaching next week. Or the part you wrote about be passionate for only the last 5 years. Nice to hear of someone being real, especially in your position.
Stay in your heart! Judy
Dear Judy,
I looked at your cakes and they are fantastic! Excellent work! Our retreat is scheduled for the first weekend in May so I hope to post about it more later. God bless you and remember that He is with you!
Warmly,
Patricia
