My favorite part of Charlie Brown’s Christmas is the above scene. It warms my heart and gives me encouragement to speak up for God, like Linus does. God is so good to us. Before I got out of bed this cold morning (14 degrees here), I thanked him for our warm, comfie home, our health, a kind family (most of the time), friends, and his Word. Then I took my spot by the fireplace to study my Bible study for Sunday.
A few days ago I took a quiz to see which Peanuts character I resembled and was surprised it was “Snuggly Snoopy.” Here’s how the results came out: Energetic? Check. Adorable? Yep. Loads of fun? You bet-just like everyone’s fave beagle, you’ve got the charisma to woo anyone over. Plus, you just love having a good time, no matter what. We guess that your bubbly personality keeps your friends laughing and smiling, just like Joe Cool does for the Peanuts gang!
Who are they talking about? I am like that every so often, but definitely more like Schroeder – into my own music. My senior project in college had to do with group dynamics and I’m constantly amazed how people can assume different roles and seemingly different personalities when situations require it or facilitate it. I can be “Snuggly Snoopy” sometimes but not for long. I can be “Introverted Schroeder” more often. I have a student at school who is Snoopy in Art, and then Lucy in Astronomy. We’re amazing creations, but still sheep in need of a Shepherd.
