Isn’t that true? Aren’t most people who eat cottage cheese fat? Well, I’m starting a new lifestyle change and on the menu is cottage cheese and fruit every afternoon for snack. It’s true; I’ve fattened over the years – about 20 pounds worth. I do want to lose it because it makes me feel bad. Bill bought Power90 for Christmas for me and him (Hallelujah – he said it was mostly for him). We started the 30 minute exercise DVD yesterday and it was good, which means it hurt.

I’m also finishing The Good Mood Diet book and it’s fantastic. The premise is that you eat to feel good, and then you lose weight as a result. That’s the best philosophy I’ve heard. Feel bad foods are mostly sugar, white flour, and prepackaged foods. They recommend eating whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish, lean meats, one egg a day, cocoa at night, and Splenda (Altern at Wal-Mart). It’s basically the same routine we know and love so well.
We used to eat this way (minus the egg and cocoa). I remember thinking I’d NEVER give Aaron Eggo Waffles for a quick breakfast on Sunday mornings. It wasn’t until the kids got older and it was difficult for them to eat good food that I backslid. Now I wonder what they’ll do with a plateful of fish, wild rice, and asparagus?
I’ll let you know what happens ninety days from now.
